24 fascinating facts about the penis. Part 1
There are many myths and beliefs about the penis. One of them, which claims that it is possible to determine the length of the penis by the shoe size, was disproved by a study published in the medical journal BJU International. And although the penis subject is studied inside out, in fact, there are many little-known facts about the main male organ.
Here are the most fascinating ones:
1. A man usually experiences about 11 erections per day (3-5 of them occur at night).
2. The penis can be broken. Many people think that because there are no bones in the penis, you can't break it. But that is not the case. During an erection, the tissue of the cavernous bodies of the penis fills with blood and, therefore, there is a possibility of an occuring fracture.
In one extraordinary study, which focused on 42 cases of penile fractures, the most traumatic position during sexual intercourse was found to be one when the partner is on top. If such an accident happened and you heard a crunch, you should immediately consult a doctor. Otherwise it will increase the risk of developing erectile dysfunction.
3. An erection is a kind of "mirror" that reflects the condition of men's health. If in the morning and during foreplay before sex, an erection does not occur, this is a sure sign of existing problems.
4. The very first erection in a man's life occurs when he is born. Medical News Today published data that confirms the fact that boys are born with an erection. And even before the moment of birth, ultrasound can show that the baby's penis is in a phase of sexual arousal.
5. On average, an erection lasts from 9 to 15 minutes. The penis can go back to the erect state after a period of rest. Therefore, you should not trust what you see in porn.
6. The length of the penis is much longer than it might seem. Because of the structure of the male sexual system, more than half the length of the penis is hidden inside.
7. An American Jonah Falcon, the owner of the largest penis, admitted in an interview that such an impressive member size does not bring him joy but does bring a lot of inconvenience.
8. Scientists from new Mexico and the University of California conducted an interesting experiment in which 75 women aged 18 to 65 years voluntarily participated. All of them were provided with 3D-printed photos showing 33 different models of male genitalia. The subjects were asked to rank images from what they thought was the most attractive penis to the least liked one. Most women put a 16-cm penis first.
9. The size of the male sexual organ does not affect the degree of satisfaction of a woman during sexual intercourse. Female sexual pleasure depends primarily on the emotional mood and also on the way the main female erogenous zone, the clitoris and its surrounding tissues, are stimulated.
10. A crooked penis is a normal phenomenon. During an erection, the penis curves slightly to the left or right. This is a physiological feature of most men. But there are cases when the penis is bent so much that it becomes almost impossible to have sex. That occurs when the male sexual organ expands unevenly along its entire length in a phase of sexual arousal. In medicine, this phenomenon is called Peyronie's disease.
11. Men also have a g-spot. It is located on the inner wall of the intestine near the prostate gland, 5-7 centimeters from the anus. On the surface of the prostate there are many sensitive nerves, when stimulated, are responsible for male sexual arousal. But it is important to mention that not all men are turned on only by the rubbing the prostate.
12. The largest penises in the world are owned by men from the Republic of the Congo. The average length of the inhabitants of this country is 18 centimeters. In second place were residents of Ghana (the length of their penis was 17 cm), and in third place – Hungarians and Brazilians (the length of their manhood is 16 centimeters).
